There is a wide range of agricultural films, such as plastic covers for pomegranate and cherry trees, vineyard films, as well as tobacco and currant drying films, extensively used by farmers in Greece. Eurofilm’s plastic covers are made of high density polyethylene film in standard or custom sizes upon request, depending on customer requirements. With careful usage, these covers can be used for ten growing seasons.
These films have excellent wear resistance and mechanical strength in order to protect cultivations under adverse weather conditions. They also protect plants and especially fruits against birds and weeds, minimizing the negative effect they have on the cultivation. Plastic covers limit evaporation, improve water management by 50% in comparison with other conventional methods like weeding that can hurt plant roots.
